For the culinary enthusiasts, a thatched kitchen equipped with cooking utensils, a gas stove, and a fridge is open to all campers at a minimal fee. Enjoy self-catering amidst the wilderness, with a braai stand included and firewood readily available from the friendly campsite staff.
The campsite itself is a gateway to a true wilderness experience, teeming with diverse bird and animal species, including resident hippos and elephants crossing from the National Park to the GMA, visible both in the dry and wet seasons. The Camp is located right at the end of the Game Management Area (GMA) along the Kafue River, 500 meters South of the Kafue Hook Bridge, boardering with the greater Kafue National Park in the West and South.

Roy’s Kafue Camp and Campsite does not take a deposit for camping but will gladly hold a lovely spot by the river for those that prefer advance bookings.
Best Experience
Use of a braai stand is included free of charge. Initial firewood is included, with extra wood at a fee. friendly campsite staff are there to supply wood and manage all campfires.

Meet The Team
Roy Mutelele is a Community Based Natural Resources (CBNRM) practitioner, born on 25th December1958 in Kabulwebulwe Chiefdom of Mumbwa District. Before developing a campsite, he served in a number of Boards in both Public and Private Institutions for over 15 years.
It was through this experience and exposure which gave him an enthusiasm to invest in the Tourism Industry and the campsite was named after his name. He is the founder and Director of the Campsite.
Macloud Pumulo, our Camp Manager is 25 years old and energetic young man. He completed his Secondary School education and he looks forward to pursuing his dream as a tour guide. I am sure, those that have been here can attest to his humility, caring, royal and commitment to duty.
Onny Kapisi Mutelele, is our Assistant Camp Operations Manager. He is the graduate with a Professional Diploma with Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) assisting as an intern. Despite rarely found, the is royal, caring, humble and social.
